Company History
Baywood Products Pty Ltd is a dynamic company that promotes sustainability to ensure the long-term viability of timber; a natural resource. A family owned business in the timber industry, our processing operations commenced in 1989. This was founded by current director Mr Phil Pedersen. The company’s focus in the early 1990’s was on producing quality timber components for the furniture and lattice industry throughout QLD, NSW and the Northern Territory. During the late 90s, we added a processing facility for producing quality timber fencing materials.
By 2000, Baywood Products was well known for processing timber, had most woodworking machinery and outgrown its premises three times. Baywood Products is now located across 3 sites, and is expanding it's timber operations as the company continues to grow.
From the beginning, Baywood Products has invested in the latest processing technology. Today we have the latest automated scanning, grading, docking, finger-joining and machining equipment. This helps us remain competitive by producing quality timber products quickly, accurately and efficiently.
The Team
In 1989, the team consisted of the ‘owner’ (Phil), a machinist (John) and two trainees. Today there are over 30 employees and John is still with us. We firmly believe that a trained team is our greatest asset, and our motto is:

We provide our employees with regular training in machinery operations, safe work procedures, lean manufacturing, customer service as well as management/leadership skills. This is shaping and guiding Baywood Products as a World Class timber company.
Location
The Baywood Products head office is located in Maryborough, Queensland and our operations are located in close proximity to plantation forest resources. Baywood's warehouse facilities are conveniently located on the Bruce Highway. This enables us to service our clients from all areas of the east coast of Australia. From Cairns in the north to Melbourne in the south, as well as the Northern Territory, we welcome enquiries and new customers from all locations.
